Our Mission
The Public Works Department consists of four public facilities, 50 public employees and a fleet of 50 vehicles and equipment. The Waste Water Treatment Plant is located at 2221 Pullman Road; the Water Department is located at 201 N Main Street; the City Maintenance Yard and Shop is located at 650 West Van Buren and the Engineering Department is in the Paul Mann Building at 221 East Second Street. These facilities are in addition to the many reservoirs, wells, pump and lift stations around the City.
The Public Works Director, Les MacDonald oversees all of these divisions and the departmental managers that make up the Public Works Management Team. Those managers and their division are: Tom Scallorn - Water, Sewer and Waste Water; Tyler Palmer - Streets and Fleet Management; Kevin Lilly - Engineering.
