Investigations
Sergeant Bruce Fager, Corporal Scot Gleason, and one Officer from the Operations Division, are responsible for investigating most of the major crimes that occur in Moscow. Together they work closely with State, Federal and Local Agencies and bring to the investigations division more than 52 years of combined law enforcement experience. In order to compliment their experience, the Moscow Police Department has invested heavily in technology and training to keep up with the changes.
The Investigations Unit has acquired expertise in data recovery in various devices which include cellular phones, personal data devices, flash drives and computer hard drives. Video recovery and enhancement along with computer forensics are additional areas that we have invested heavily in to keep us on the cutting edge.
In 2008 the Moscow Police Department joined the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force and we continue to conduct proactive internet investigations in order to identify and prosecute crimes against child pornography. Chief Duke currently sits on the ICAC Executive Board as part of our commitment to the program.
We can generally be contacted between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday at the Moscow Police Department (208-883-7054).
