Fields Planning Committee
Fields Planning Committee Information
The Fields Planning Committee is charged with the task of creating a plan for the development of additional youth play fields within Moscow. After concerns were raised regarding a previous development proposal, the Committee membership was reformulated in the fall of 2005 to include four citizens that live in the neighborhood adjacent to the field site, four members to represent the various youth sport users, a City Council representative, as well as a representative from the Parks and Recreation department, Moscow School District, Parks and Recreation Commission, and the University of Idaho. The purpose of the reconfiguration was to bring about a more balanced committee to better represent all sides of the issues.
The City Council has currently charged the Committee with the task of developing an acceptable development proposal for a youth ball field complex to be located on the City's West Palouse River Drive property and to present such a proposal to the City Council for consideration on April 3rd of this year.
